Summary: One East Midlands, the regional strategic network for the VCS in the East Midlands, has four trustee vacancies available on our board.

One East Midlands, the regional strategic network for the VCS in the East Midlands, has four trustee vacancies available on our board.

We welcome board nominations which reflect the diversity of the region. Two of the trustee vacancies are BME designated, so nominations from BME led organisations to help steer our BME work are encouraged.

To enable the effectiveness of One EM in the future we seek applicants who can exercise independent judgement and think creatively, with skills in the following areas:

Accounting / financial management

Charity and company law

Governance

HR management

National infrastructure working

Risk management

Applicants should also preferably have knowledge and experience in one of the following theme areas, not covered by our existing board members:

Arts

Children and young people

Environment

Gay, lesbian, bisexual and transvestites

Health and social care

Single sex/gender work

Sports

This is an exciting opportunity to enable you to have real influence for the sector at regional and national level. Please note that board members can only be from full organisation members of One East Midlands.
