GEO launches new approach to engaging and listening to women

Summary: The Government Equalities Office has launched the first ever cross-government newsletter aimed at women and women's organisations.

The newsletter will provide updates on key policy developments, events and consultations, and forms a vital part of our approach to ensure the Government engages and listens more effectively to women.

The first newsletter went out last week to over 650 partners, with a special foreword from Theresa May, Minister for Women and Equalities. They have also launched a new page on the GEO website with updates and useful information on areas such as Committee on Status of Women (CSW), the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), Violence against Women (VAW) and how women are affected by the new public sector duty.
