Consulation on EHRC strategic plan 2009-12

Summary: The Commission has launched the first of three phases of consultation to develop our next strategic plan. The plan will cover our plans and priorities from April 2012 to March 2015 and is due to be laid before Parliament in April 2012.

About the consultation

This 30 day consultation forms the first phase of our strategic planning process. It gives you the opportunity to tell us what you think of our strategic plan for 2009-2012 and how we have fared in keeping our promise about the ten things we said we would deliver.

It opened on 23 June 2011 and you must respond by no later than 22 July 2011.

Any strategic planning exercise involves tough choices. The Commission’s budget settlement and the impact of socio-economic changes on our stakeholders and the vulnerable groups we’re here to help means it’s more important than ever that we use our resources to best effect and demonstrate value for money.

We want your help in making these tough choices. We intend to actively involve as many people as possible in this process and see it as an open conversation with our stakeholders until we finalise our Strategic Plan 2012-2015.

We have published a document, About the consultation, which provides you with an overview of the strategic planning process and relevant information on what the Commission has delivered since 2009.
