Summary: Last Friday the Home Office, along with all other Government departments, published an updated and refreshed business plan covering the period 2011-15.
The plan which replaces the one published last November, reflects the department’s achievements to date and sets out some new actions under the Coalition Government’s priorities for the Home Office.
To mark the Government Equalities Office move to the Home Office, additional equality responsibilities have been reflected in a new, seventh departmental priority: to build a fairer and more equal society.
These include a range of measures to promote equality of opportunity in the labour market, to tackle discrimination, hatred and violence and allow greater participation in society.
