Radar's MP Disability Dialogue

Date: 12/5/2011
Summary: From 12 May until the end of June 2011, RADAR is encouraging disabled people to meet with their MP and find out how their MP can help them.

Radar hopes that that this will result in ongoing relationships between MPs and people with lived experience of disability or health conditions, and help disabled people to campaign for change.

There are different ways to take part as an individual or as part of a group. Radar will provide information to help people contact their local MPs and talk about issues that matter to them, and also has a small, limited budget to help with access costs for an event.

Radar has sent all MPs a copy of Radar’s MPs’ Guide on Disability with practical tips on how to meet disabled constituents’ needs and has invited them to support the MP Disability Dialogue.

Radar will be asking for feedback for a report that will be launched at a Parliamentary reception in October 2011.
