Regional Empowerment Event

Summary: The Regional Equality and Diversity Partnership will be supporting RADAR to facilitate a free Regional Empowerment Event in Leicester on the 5th October.
The event may be of interest to those people wanting to be more informed about how to influence local services. Disabled People and people experiencing Injury or Ill Health are very welcome to attend.
The Midlands event on October 5th, will take place at:
NSPCC National Training Centre

Beaumont Leys
Leicester LE4 1EZ
The event will begin at 9.00 and end at approximately 4pm. Complimentary lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Subjects that will be covered by the speakers will include; Hate Crime, Disability and the Law and other local disability issues. Stephen Brookes MBE will be speaking on the subject of Hate Crime. Stephen has recently been interviewed on this subject by Channel 4 and ITN. All delegates will be presented with a copy of RADAR's Empowerment Guide free of charge.
