Summary: This is a brand new group for LGB people aged 18 and over. This is being run by the Corby Theatre, but has been organised with assistance from OPEN and the former Corby LGB Group.
This event will take place at The Corby Cube, George Street, Corby, NN17 1QG. Please arrive from 7pm for a start at 7.30pm.
This is a brand new group for Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual people aged 18 and over. This is being run by the Corby Theatre, but has been organised with assistance from Out Proud & Equal Northamptonshire (OPEN) and the former Corby LGB Group.
Come and explore your creative side, and also make friends along the way! Proposed activities include Creative Writing, Drama, Sounds/music, Textiles and Costumes, Images and Photography. The members of the group will work as a team to decide on exactly what to do, led by Paula Boulton who works for the Corby Theatre.
It is optional to be photographed, filmed or perform to an audience. You will not be pressured to do this. Instead you could help plan, organise and develop film and performance work.
Although some self-discipline will be required, you will be coached and supported, and although it may be serious at times, it should also be a lot of fun. This may help you to develop confidence, and to “come out”, or it may simply be something different and exciting to your usual daily routine.
