Summary: brap is holding a conference on Child protection and BME communities.
The conference opens up an unheard debate. It will facilitate discussion on the protection of black and minority ethnic children by professionals whose role it is to support their care and welfare.
This conference is of great value for professionals engaged in child care and welfare issues from either the public or voluntary sector, including social workers, safeguarding leads, youth workers, teachers, social care providers, representatives from children’s charities, and those working in family support services, looked after children services, and early years.
The event is on 5 May in Birmingham.
Registration costs:
Public and private sector £130 per individual. There is a discount for early booking (up until 15 April 2011), meaning prices are reduced to £100 per person.
Third sector £85 per person. Some bursaries are available to not-for-profit organisations – please contact brap for further information.
